Six Blades Method

WHAT WE DO

More Than Jiu-Jitsu.
A System for Life.

At Six Blades, every class is designed around six core principles — not just techniques. We teach students how to move, how to think, and how to carry themselves on and off the mat.

The result is people who are more confident, more resilient, and more grounded. That’s not an accident. It’s the method.

A System,
Not a Personality.

Many academies are built around a single instructor. The culture, the quality, the energy — all of it flows through one person. When that person has an off day or isn’t there, everything changes.

Six Blades was built differently. Documented systems, consistent curriculum, structured coaching standards, and accountability at every level.

Great culture and great systems are not in conflict. You can have both.

THE SIX BLADES

A Framework for Life,
Not Just Training.

Six principles. Every class. Every student. Every day.

01

Safety

Every technique, every drill, every sparring session is designed with safety as the foundation. Students can’t grow if they’re hurt.

02

Redefining Winning

Your child’s growth matters more than any trophy. We measure success by who they’re becoming, not just what they’re winning.

03

Process Over Outcome

We teach students to fall in love with the work, not just the result. Progress happens when you focus on the right things.

04

Consistency Over Intensity

Showing up regularly beats burning out every time. We build habits, not sprints.

05

Emotional Regulation

The mat teaches you how to stay calm under pressure, how to reset, and how to keep going. That’s a life skill.

06

Character

Students carry this philosophy into their families, their careers, their relationships. That’s what we’re building toward.

Six Blades South Denver community

The Community.

The culture inside our academy is intentional. The environment is welcoming, challenging, and ego-free. Students support each other. Coaches invest genuinely. Progress is celebrated.

You won’t find an environment where new students are ignored or where only the experienced members matter. The community is part of what you’re here for.

Our Commitment

Month-to-Month.
No Long-Term Commitment.

Our memberships are month-to-month, with a requested 3-month initial commitment — enough time to experience real progress and decide if this is the right fit.

When trust is built through consistency, not paperwork, it’s a completely different relationship.

The method works.

The only question is you.

Come see what Six Blades is about. First class is free and private — just you and the instructor.

FAQ

Start With Confidence

Quick answers to common questions from new students.

Do I need any experience to join?
No experience needed. We start where you are and build from there. Most of our students had never trained before walking through the door.
Is jiu-jitsu safe for kids?
Yes — safety is the first principle of our method. We use age-appropriate curriculum, careful supervision, and structured progressions designed to protect developing bodies.
What’s the first step?
Book a free private class. It’s just you (or your child) and an instructor — no group pressure, no commitment, no obligation. We’ll show you around, answer your questions, and help you decide if it’s the right fit.
Are contracts required?
No long-term contracts. Memberships are month-to-month. We ask for a 3-month initial commitment so you have enough time to experience real results — but there’s no annual contract locking you in.
